I didn't notice the charity until I got home- for every bottle sold, they give $1 to help fun clean water facilities. So far they have donated 4.2 million dollars.

It is ethos brand, sold at Starbucks.

Thumper wanted to be in the photo. :) The binder may need more dividers down the road, but for now this is all I need. I love having these favorite recipies all sorted and easy to find. They used to be shoved in my recipe book cupboard and would get messy really quick.

I managed to stay away from wheat for the month of April. Technically from April 2 to March 3, since I accidentally ate a piece of gyoza while dining out on the 1st and forgot that they made with wheat. :) Today is the third of March and instead of gobbling down a pancake or a piece of toast right away, I am going to continue on and hopefully make this a life changing habit, rather than just an experiment. I have been a lot healthier and now I don't have to worry about having reactions at strange times in my life. My allergy to wheat is not really an allergy at all, but an intolerance. I can get away with a lot, for a while, but eventually it catches up to me. Of course those times are most often when I am away from home or in a situation that makes me nervous or simply is just different than every day life. Not the best time to be sick! Anyways, thanks to any of you who supported me through this- most of all The Mr.! :)

Instead of hat boxes, I chose two larger boxes from IKEA similar to these. They work better than a hat box would. One holds hats and purses and the other holds sweaters.

I did it. Finally. It feels so much shorter and is a lot curlier. Count the stripes!

Self: but they are so summery and fun!

Also, please ignore the mirror that I am holding to my camera in order to see the screen. Have you ever tried to take a photo of your own back? After many failed attempts this is what I resorted to and it works well!

It's there, every penny of it! This is one of them that I can't take a photo of. :) You have no clue how many times I have refrained from buying something since I started this list. It has been good for me and I am realizing how fast money adds up when you don't spend it. (Duh!) I can't wait till my family comes to visit, because Mom, Kim and I love to shop!

My first pair of Keds- I feel like an official American woman. Here is the link if you want to buy these, but I paid 1/4 the full price by shopping at Ross- oh how I love that store! I completed this list item without even knowing it while we were in Gresham visiting Sjo and family over the weekend.

My original plan was to post ONE photo of each item completed. I just couldn't do that with the gospel rocks, because it was so fun photographing them while the seagulls called and the waves lapped beside me. Five of them were place on the sand and five of them were placed on wood.

#17) Find two new ways to wear hair.... part 1

I have never once French braided my hair so I taught myself tonight using a pamphlet that my Auntie H gave me at her house today. I love how a lot of my list items are being completed or at least helped along by others. :) Please do not look closely! I know it doesn't start very high on my head, but at least I know how to French Braid now. And plus, I think most of the time it looks funny when it is started at the crown. Unless you have two of course.

101 in 1001- Day 1

I don't know if you have ever heard of the 101 in 1001 idea, but it has inspired me lately to make a list of my own and here it is in the right hand column. I was inspired by two cousins of mine which have also made lists. My list is a mix and match of things I would like to do, places I would like to visit, healthy decisions, gardening ideas, crafts to make, crafts to finish, silly things, serious things, recipes and cooking I find scary but want to try, books to read and housekeeping reminders with some randomness mixed in. I didn't intend to share it, but well... here I am posting it for the entire internet searching world to read.

The Birthplace of 101 in 1001

The Mission:
Complete 101 preset tasks in a period of 1001 days.

The Criteria:
Tasks must be specific (ie. no ambiguity in the wording) with a result that is either measurable or clearly defined. Tasks must also be realistic and stretching (ie. represent some amount of work on my part).

Why 1001 Days?
Many people have created lists in the past - frequently simple goals such as New Year's resolutions. The key to beating procrastination is to set a deadline that is realistic. 1001 Days (about 2.75 years) is a better period of time than a year, because it allows you several seasons to complete the tasks, which is better for organising and timing some tasks such as overseas trips or outdoor activities.

Well, let the fun begin! This is day 1 of 1001.
